Myst - Masterpiece Edition and Riven - The Sequel to Myst are powered by ScummVM, while Myst III - Exile is driven by ResidualVM. For some time now ScummVM has been the simplest and smoothest way to play Myst on a modern computer. In the last couple of weeks, both the Cyan and the ScummVM teams have made great strides to improve game compatibility. The only thing not working is the fortress rotation holo-simulator in the mechanical age. Due to intense testing, we have already managed to fix most issues that were present in ScummVM and ResidualVM. Over the past 20 years, ScummVM has grown from something mainly related to playing old Lucasarts adventures, to a program that can now run games from 64 different engines, Myst to Might & Magic.
